The Design and Transportation Committees will seek to resolve discrepancy produced due to incorrect facts presented at Transportation Committee by applicant in April regarding 1248 Fairmont NW.  Results of meeting will be posted.  Also, the Committee conceded to ANC1E decisions regarding the McMillan project due to 1E’s jurisdiction with the McMillan Park project.  Inquiries will also be made to the Historic Preservation Board regarding its approval of projects circumventing ANC recommendations and approval.

The Design Committee has been in communication with community entities to solicit feedback.  The DRC chair is seeking support for an initiative to increase community participation.  At present the DRC chair does not have staff to reach out adequately to the community to seek input.  The chairwoman has made time to visit a few community organizations to solicit support and attendance for upcoming 4/21 meeting and future meetings.
